Our No Solution, No Fee Policy

Last Updated: 22/10/25

At Techli, we stand by our work. That’s why we offer a No Solution, No Fee Guarantee – a simple, honest promise:

If we can’t diagnose the issue or provide a solution, you won’t pay a cent.

However, there are some important details to understand around how this applies in practice. Please review the policy below before booking.

1. When You Won’t Be Charged

You will not be charged the standard service fee if:

  • We are unable to determine a reasonable cause of the issue

  • We are unable to offer a solution or pathway to resolution

2. When the Standard Service Fee Does Apply

Our standard service fee applies if:

  • We identify the issue and provide a recommended solution (e.g. a part replacement, upgrade, or workaround)

  • You choose not to proceed with the recommended fix

  • The issue is outside our scope (e.g. hardware failure requiring manufacturer support) and this is clearly communicated

  • No fault is found during the visit, but time was spent testing, checking, or verifying systems

  • You have reported an issue, and we attend based on that request, regardless of whether the problem is occurring at the time of the visit

Note: Our time, expertise, testing, and professional advice are part of the service — not just the repair itself.

3. Examples

Where the Fee Applies

Example 1 – Diagnosed Fault, No Action Taken:
A computer shuts down every 15 minutes. We diagnose a faulty motherboard. The client chooses not to repair it.
Fee applies.

Example 2 – Solution Provided, Not Actioned:
We diagnose Wi-Fi dropout caused by an outdated modem. We recommend a new modem, but the client decides not to replace it.
Fee applies.

Where the Fee Doesn’t Apply

Example 3 – Fault Not Found:
Client reports a computer monitor that “flickers randomly”. During the visit, the screen performed normally. We tested it under different conditions, checked connections, ran diagnostics and monitored it – but the issue didn’t occur and no hardware or software fault could be found.
Fee does not apply – fault could not be replicated or diagnosed during the visit, and no clear solution could be provided.

Example 4 – Cause Not Found, No Solution Provided:
Client’s Smart TV keeps crashing when opening streaming apps. We checked the internet connection, tested other devices on the same network, confirmed TV firmware was up to date, and reset app data. The issue persisted, but no logs or visible faults were shown, and no further software fixes were available.
Fee does not apply – fault was present, but no clear cause or solution could be determined during the visit.
